Embrace diversity, find beauty in the long grass poem

In the long grass of life, we tread,
Where misinterpretation leads,
Judgments made, without a thought,
Of the pain they may breed.

We judge the book by its cover,
And never delve inside,
We label those we don’t understand,
And push them to the side.

But in the long grass, beauty lies,
In the diversity of life,
Each blade unique and precious,
In its own way, free from strife.

So let us not judge so quickly,
But take the time to see,
The beauty in the long grass,
And let diversity be.

For in embracing all that’s different,
We open up our hearts,
And find the world a richer place,
For taking part in its arts.

So let us walk with open minds,
And see the long grass for what it’s worth,
And in doing so, we’ll find,
A world of beauty and mirth.

“It just reminds me of ‘In The Tall Grass’ by Stephen King, I can’t help but wonder about the lost.”
